The 2008 Show season is off to a great start! Beth and Melissa Allen Dressage attended their first shows of the season with both Rochefort and Chantucci. They attended the William Woods Spring Dressage show at the end of April and this was Rochefort and Beth's debut together in the show ring. Beth was very excited to finally get to show her horse! They decided to keep it simple and start with a First level test and it paid off. They ended up winning their class with a 71%. They also ended up earning the highest score at First level over all divisions for Saturday.
Cici was shown by trainer Melissa Allen and had a great outing at her first recognized show at training level. Cici earned a respectable 66% on Saturday with a few minor bobbles but came back on Sunday much more relaxed and earned an amazing 75%! Highlights of the test included (4) Nines and an (8) on gaits!
Paris (Pandorra x Rubenstein I) has started the backing process, she is progressing nicely and we will have new footage of her soon! Check the Sales page for more info.
At the beginning of May they attended the KCDS show at Longview. Beth and Rochefort did both 1st and 2nd level. In their 1st level 4 test they earned a 66% and won their class. They ended up reserve high point champions at first level for Saturday. On Sunday they made their second level debut and ended up high point champions at second level for Sunday with a 65%.

2007 News
2007 was an exciting year for The Sport Horse Connection. Rochefort and Chantucci had very successful show seasons with Rochefort placing 10th in the nation at the FEI 5-year-old Young Horse National Championship in Kentucky. He was also very successful at Devon. Chantucci finished 1st place in the USDF All Breeds Oldenburg NA 3-year-old Materiale category. Kilian was selected as the Champion Non-Hanoverian Mare at the 2007 Kansas Hanoverian Inspection. She was also bred to the exciting young stallion, Davidoff Hit for a 2008 foal. The new year promises to be equally as exciting. Rochefort and Chantucci are advancing in their training and Paris is about to start hers. The Sport Horse Connection is also pleased to announce that we brought Michael Bragdell in for a Young Horse Clinic on January 26th and 27th at Harper Crossing Equestrian Center in Peculiar, Missouri. The clinic was well attended by auditors. Michael was fun and informative and he quickly showed us all why he is one of the top young horse specialists in the country.
